Social media has a colossal influence on people’s everyday lives. Using products to create impressive photos adds to all the fun and friendly competition among influencers and creators on all platforms. With social media platforms now, you must create an atmosphere that will attract your target audience. Individuals from ages 18 to 29 look for an aesthetically pleasing product to post, consume and share with their friends. LaCroix has a massive following on Instagram with 186k followers. Instagram would help prove that LaCroix’s target audience is mainly millennials. LaCroix has been around for decades but, has become popular among millennials because of their search for a healthier alternative for soda. Millennials love to take photos of and with their food and, LaCroix contributes to that. LaCroix is a beverage that has trendy packaging that would make anyone’s life look glamorous and enjoyable. Here, this gives us insight into how creating a fun and popular product to target an audience has been successful and gives LaCroix a leg up on their competitors.

Getting your target audience’s attention is the first order of business by a brand that wants to please its current audience and reach new ones. There are methods I would try to grab the attention of LaCroix’s target market. The first would be to expand on the vastness of colors and show the unique ways any LaCroix can, can be featured. Currently, the people who drink LaCroix want to create fun and bright pictures that stand out among their peers. I would help create a new and exciting way to make the cans stand out more than they already do to get even more people to buy the infamous sparkling water to see what it is all about.

Did someone say cocktails?

I would also contribute to the list of summery drinks and cocktails that anyone could recreate at home. LaCroix has created a Margarita ,Sangria and even shared their take on a Pina Colada. Millennials love fun and fruity cocktails so creating a new one would grab the attention of the target audience to want to go and buy all the ingredients to try LaCroix’s latest creation. Once a new cocktail is created, I would make an entertaining how-to video and help create an intriguing theme to go along with it. I would want this to spark some inspiration in others to have fun and maybe concoct their drinks. All of this plays into their selling point. Having a unique type of packaging is their selling point because it not only catches the consumer’s eye, it makes them want to buy it and try it no matter the flavor or price. Everyone knows when anyone has posted content of something different everyone, wants to try it which, helps get the brand trending. Sooner or later, ideas from creators and influencers help the brand gain traction and followers to reel in new individuals into their target audience.

Why is knowing your target audience imperative?

When advertising your product, you want to target the specific audiences that take part in consuming your product the most. Getting to know your target audience is the first step to becoming a successful brand. To sell your product to your target market, you must know what they are interested in and what will make them want to buy your product. If you do not know your audience, then no one will appreciate your product yet, purchase it. If you do not know your target audience, you do not know whom you are selling to or what they want. It also results in losing followers because you are not offering products and services they wish to receive. Knowing your audience is crucial and could make or break your brand.

So….

There are plenty of pieces that help create the success of your brand. If you do not have the correct portion, you and your brand could be marketing to the wrong group resulting in a loss of time, money, resources, and a chunk of your audience. Keep up with your audience, listen and, interact with them, they may be the key to your next great idea!
